The 2011 Empire State Games will be held in Lake Placid February 25th and 26th.
Empire State Games
Friday February 25, 2011 – Sprint Race
- Open and Masters Men – 10 km
- All others – 7.5 km
- Bib pickup – 11:00 AM
- Zero – 12:00 PM
- Start – 1:00 PM
Saturday February 26, 2011 – Individual Relay
- All classes – 6 km
- Bib pickup – 11:00 AM
- Zero – 12:00 PM
- Start – 1:00 PM
The Empire State Games are currently under new management and details on classes and fees have not been finalized yet.
In order to compete you must meet the following qualifying criteria.
- Must be a member of NYSSRA Nordic, the USBA, and a New York Biathlon Club
- Scholastic: Must finish two qualifying races and be ranked as one of the top 13 men or top 7 women on the points list.
- Open: Must finish two qualifying races and be ranked as one of the top 13 men or top 7 women on the points list.
- Masters and Grand Masters: Must finish two qualifying races
The list of qualified athletes will be published on the New York Biathlon website on Monday Februay 14, 2011 at 9:00 PM.
