Unfortunately, due to the extreme cold temps/wind chills forecasted for Sunday, we’ve made the decision to cancel Sunday’s sprint race. Due to the recent warm-up, the Western NY race site has lost it’s snow. We’re going to postpone the race until January 23rd. We had a total of 9 NYSSRA members compete and the results were great, both for the seasoned veterans and the newer biathletes looking to get experience at the next level. Saratoga Biathlon Club members Carly Wynn and The Western NY biathlon club will be hosting a summer biathlon race on September 25 at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club in Rush, NY. The race is open to all levels of ability and experience including people who’ve never done a biathlon race before. The points list, percent back list, and shooting stats have all been updated. Rory Keyes starting at Rochester Currently Darwin Roosa of the Saratoga Biathlon Club has accumulated the most points and will be wearing We had a good turnout at the Western NY sprint race yesterday.
