Results from today’s New Tears resolution biathlon race. New York was well represented at this past weeks Youth/Junior World Championship Trials held at Mt Itasca MN. Brian Halligan from Wilton NY (Saratoga Biathlon & HURT) finished 4th overall in the Youth Men category and was named to the US team which will compete in Obertilliach, Austria from January 25 through February 1, 2013. We will have 4 targets in operation-2 sport and 2 match…paintball biathlon to follow Castleton is a new venue for us with a very enthusiastic 
Ten NY junior skiers braved the cold, wet and windy elements in Old Forge today (6/11/11) to take part in our 2nd NYSSRA Nordic junior biathlon shooting clinic this spring. Despite the less than perfect conditions, spirits were high and the participants were motivated to learn. The 3 new participants today bring the total number of The Polar Bear Biathlon Club will host it’s first race of the season on February 6th at McCauley Mountain in Old Forge, New York. Zero will be at 10 a.m. with the race start at 11 a.m. sharp. Prizes will be given to the top three finishers in each class. We had a total of 9 NYSSRA members compete and the results were great, both for the seasoned veterans and the newer biathletes looking to get experience at the next level. Saratoga Biathlon Club members Carly Wynn and The January 1st biathlon has been canceled due to lack of snow. We look forword to seeing all of you on February 6th. The results from the final weekend of ESG qualifying have been posted. Osceola – Individual Relay Old Forge – Sprint The points list will be updated later today, and the list of athletes who have qualified for the ESGs will be published tonight. |
